Changing the Game Project

This video asks children how they feel when their parents "cheer" at their events. Very revealing.

Who's willing to ask your child how he or she feels and post their response?

Big game alert!!! CCHS @ NAHS 4pm tomorrow 5/1. Both teams ranked in top 5 in state (Boston Herald). Might be two former NA LL's squaring off on the mound. ...If you're the parent of an NA Little Leaguer...would be great for the young ones to see what HS baseball is all about...then head over to Coach Carp's Monday Clinic #feedthesystem

Earlier this fall we donated a bunch of old equipment to a couple of young guys from Lawrence Jesus and Max Trejo with their partner Francisco Turbi who actually played for the Chicago Cubs as a pitcher. Every year these 3 who own a moving company called Not your Average Movers shipped the equipment over to the Dominican Republic where they are all from and gave the gear to kids from their home town.

We are going to start doing something like this every year!!!

Dear North Andover Youth Baseball Members:

Each year 5 of the 10 positions on the NABCLL Board of Directors comes up for election for a two-year term. We encourage all members to consider taking an active role in the growth and development of North Andover Youth Baseball by running for a position on the Board of Directors.

...

If you are interested, please submit a short biography to Steve Vetere, 2016 League President, by October 7th. That biography should include a list of your youth leadership experience (not just coaching experience), your baseball experience, and your NABCLL experience. We would also like to see a statement of no more than 2 paragraphs of why you would like to be a Board member and what you would seek to accomplish. In an effort to give each candidate equal opportunity to share their qualifications, we are asking candidates to limit the biography to approximately 1/2 page and no more than 300 words. The biographies will be included on the ballot which will be provided to each member of North Andover Little League (i.e. parents of active players) for the election.

Ballots will be emailed by October 15th and will be due back, printed and signed, via US Mail by October 31st. Votes will then be tallied, and a new Board will be seated for the November meeting on November 7th. Please e-mail your applications to me by October 7, 2016.

Steve Vetere (Stephen.vetere@gmail.com )
President, North Andover Little League
on behalf of the 2016 Board of Directors
