What does it mean to be a "resilient city"?

What's the story behind the terminology in Santa Rosa's recovery?
bohemian.com

Out now: Our latest issue! James Knight reports from fire-scorched local parks. Editor Stett Holbrook contemplates the resiliency of Santa Rosa in the news hole. We're loving newcomer Chicken Pharm in the food pages, and we've got a choice report on the Emerald Cup from one of our local buds. All that and more!

Some parks slow to reopen, but fire-adapted ecosystems spring back to life

Nice coverage of the fires.
Your thumbnail photos display your ever archaic online presence.
...
You people are so irritating.
Poor journalism.
Worst online interface (like nothing).

Thanks for taking money and NOT serving Sonoma County when they need it from the fires. But your latest issue was sure to have it promoted for YOUR benefit, but your actual content?

Wow, so so lame.

The editor used familiar images of sexualized violence to hawk his silly literature issue a couple of weeks ago (talk about cheap gimmicks), then went on to blame readers for making obvious interpreta...tions of it. My boyfriend and I were disgusted at the obvious rape theme of the lit issue's cover, and we haven't picked up a copy of the Bohemian since then. Then, someone at our local coffeehouse told us, "They're not even sorry," and showed us the editor's half-assed rationalizations in last week's issue. Totally disgusted. Try "mea culpa" instead, a**holes.
But the good news is that we realized we don't need the Bohemian at all, and we don't miss it.

Out now: Our latest issue. Our local watersheds are being protected from toxic fire runoff by mushroom-stuffed wattles. We're also eating crab cakes made with mushrooms this week. It's a full-on fungal moment!

As of today's deadline to opt-in or opt-out of the mass debris-cleanup underway, more than 300 city and county residents had officially "opted out" while about 600 haven't signed the right-of-entry paperwork or made the decision whether to opt-in our opt-out. News editor Tom Gogola has the up-to-the minute numbers on deadline day—and focuses on the post-fire rebuilding process through the eyes of one opt-out resident in Coffey Park, Dan Bradford:
