Sheep are loaded and ready to go to Glen Rose. Yeap, the North Wind is blowing, it is 30 degrees, no problem. See you at the Farm Dog Certification tests.

Just a reminder that the FDC tests are this coming weekend at Glen Rose, TX. Put on your warm woolies and long handle unddies, and come and join us. The secretary advises that the herding instinct tests are very limited, and she expects to fill all of the slots for runs on both days. Please get your entries in as soon as possible. Club members will be on site on Friday afternoon, and there should be some availablity to practice.

Bluebonnet Stampede! Obedience and Rally! Come one come all! April 17, 18, 19

The NCTHDA will be hosting its annual herding tests at the Nolan River Kennel Club on Saturday and Sunday, January 3 & 4, 2015. The first weekend in January. The trial committee has walked the facilities in the past week, and confirmed that the HT and PT courses will be available.

In order to run in HT and PT, you should be familiar with AKC requirements for completion of the test, and your dog will need sufficient training to be able to stop and come when called. These te...sts are in an enclosed arena, but will be near the regular dog show events, so we want everybody to be safe and comfortable.

Instinct testing is available, and does not require prior knowledge or experience with sheep. We look forward to assisting you and are glad to provide you information about herding and the AKC programs that are available to you. There is also a facility north of Dallas, where you can bring your dog and receive instruction prior to the tests.

If you have questions, please email: texasbc@swbell.net. Premiums are available as well. We will take "day of" entries, but only if space is available. If you plan to run in HT or PT it is best to contact the secretary for a premium and pre-enter.
