Here are suggestions about how to be more vigilant with graffiti.

Kitty Dee to North Tabor Neighborhood Association

Did you know that it just takes one diligent person to keep your immediate neighborhood virtually graffiti free? I have been doing that around the NE 60th Glisan/MAX station area in the North Tabor Neighborhood for over 14 years. I did it in a previous neighborhood I lived in, too, and was even given a recognition award "Paint Killer" certificate (and a golden handled paintbrush!) from Central Northeast Neighbors in 1994. If you want to keep your neighborhood graffiti free, it discourages taggers if you report new grafitti within 24 hours or as soon as possible. Call the Graffiti Hotline at 503-823-4TAG or TriMet if it's on TriMet property: 503-236-RIDE (7433) x 5. Usually these numbers result in removal within only a few days, but call again if not. Graffiti is a sign of urban blight and can attract crime, so it's a good idea to wipe it out where you live.
