Dudu Myeni, chairperson of the Jacob Zuma Foundation & Bosasa pal, has opened a criminal case against Assistant Editor Jonathan Erasmus - accusing him of "criminal defamation" for taking photos of the foundation office, without her permission. The office is in a public building, We visited the office – based at KZN Sharks Board in Umhlanga, on 5 February. That same day Zondo Commission investigator Frank Dutton told the inquiry how he confirmed details of the location and date when Myeni was alleged to have shown Bosasa’s Angelo Agrizzi confidential investigation documents probing Bosasa. Two days later Erasmus received an unknown call from a “Col Zungu” claiming to be from the “presidential task teams’ office”, stating his “directorate is responsible for the protection of eminent persons particularly politicians in the Republic”. He claimed Erasmus was “attempting to violate or present some kind of danger” to former president Zuma and had “invaded the foundation”. He claimed Zuma was inside that office. He said Erasmus should come down to Durban Central SAPS at once, to talk. He refused to leave any details. The next day a REAL policeman phoned. He said he had been “instructed by a superior” to pursue the matter. He so happened to be calling from Durban North Police – the same station that pursued journalists Jacques Pauw and Pieter-Louis Myburgh with such zest at the behest of a businessman linked to the former State President.
