I have grown to love Nuuanu Y! Laurie is my favorite instructor. She makes me feel young and sassy again with her low impact dance classes then we cool down with her awesome yoga class. Also love the ...Mossa class. Place is pretty clean. Just hard to find parking sometimes. See More

I just started with them about 4-5 days ago , the gentlemen that helped my family and I signed up was awesome he was very detailed with his answers with my million questions lol the reason for my 3 is because as soon as we were given our cards there were no welcome aboard or tour or anything , so I was a little upset but I didn't wanna make a big deal out of it but thank you for the signs that got me going the right directions thank you Ymca just here to workout 😊 See More

I would give 5 stars, but this place is NOT accessible. There are stairs everywhere. The wheelchair lift at the front entrance does not work. There is one elevator, but I was told it does NOT go to... the exercise areas.

Now, as to why I would have given it 5 stars. The staff is EXCELLENT! The first man I spoke with, who was apologizing for the lack of accessibility, was explaining that there were some machines on that level, so I asked if there was someone who would be able to show me the correct way to use them. SOME gyms leave you to figure everything out yourself unless you want to pay a trainer. This man asked Bryan to help me, which he did, cheerfully. Bryan was wonderful. I have a disability, as well as having broken my back and torn my rotator cuff many years ago, so I would never just jump on a machine and start working out. He worked the whole circuit with me, and even showed me some starter exercises using free weights. He made me look forward to working out!

My family and I have been going here for almost a year now. From the staff to the facility have always been AWESOME!!! Our sons enjoy going to Fun Zone and have just started Aikido classes. My wife an...d love the classes in healthy start room. From the cardio room to machine and free weights room the staff is always there to help. The best part is the price for all that this place has can't be beaten. Thank you so much to staff. See More

I am a 50yr plus member. Recently we've (members) have been notified that there will be an additional charge. The additional charge will be for parking.....

For the regular member the cost proposed ...will average at minimum $30.00 to $40.00 per week. I don't feel this is a needed source of additional income for the YMCA.

There has been no dialog- meetings etc to get the memberships opinion.

Another issue I've been hearing amongst the membership. The YMCA has its core values as being A CHRISTIAN founded non-profit organization. We members have noticed all the signs that have Christian values posted have been removed! Why?

Has there been a change in core values.....?

Just concerns from the general majority of the regular old-time membership.

Hopefully this information will have positive review by YMCA administration, Metropolitan and National.

Thank you...

I go to this Y specifically to play racquetball courts. I love the sport. I have met many players here who share the same passion. Recently I found out the courts may be taken away to make room for m...ore cardio machines and classes. I am pleading with the powers that be to reconsider taking away the courts. If you want to help save the courts, please reply to this post. Mahalo! See More
