As we conclude our weekend together, it was great to share lunch together at the McNics with existing students and Freshers from both universities. And we launched our theme for the term - Pilgrims not Tourists - and got the rest of church signed up to pray. Time for a rest now, before Uni Freshers Fair later this week! #ptw17 #prayingforgrowth #loveyouruni #pilgrimsnottourists

Coming soon to a city (very) near you...

At the last Fusion conference many responded to the challenge to gather a small group of friends and pray. We were inspired by student mission history and recent ignition moments in Budapest. As a Fusion team we are going to gather to pray with James Aladiran and you are welcome to join us. However....

Next Sunday (Nov 26th) we have an "exploring membership" evening. We are really keen to stress that our students also belong to the family, and I'd *really* encourage you to come along to the evening.
Read on for more on why we value membership!

Why do we talk about Church Membership? Is there really any need?

Enjoying vibrant worship this morning with several hundred friends from Oxfordshire Community Churches! #familyonmission #oxfordshireforjesus

This Thursday is Thanksgiving in the United States, and as pilgrims we are a grateful people.

We will gather at Pizza Pilgrims, on the roof terrace of the new Westgate Centre, for an evening of celebration, thanksgiving, and community. It will be utterly cringe-free, so please do invite along any friends who you think would enjoy getting to meet our community. You can eat at Pizza Pilgrims for less than a tenner, so hopefully that's doable for everyone!

So get yourself there,... and bring some friends!

Our evenings are designed as spiritual fuel for your student life, and include worship, prayer, teaching and conversation - and lots of fun! This term we're exploring our theme of 'Pilgrims not Tourists' so expect a bit of challenge too

This Sunday at OCC we're hosting a 'Celebration' meeting for our immediate family of churches - 15 churches from Oxfordshire and beyond. There will be hundreds of people so come early to get a seat, and we really start at 10.30am! For student lunch, grab Daniel Wood.

Andy O'Connell writes: "I'm delighted that we have 'elder statesman' Rev Michael Green (https://goo.gl/cyMR2g) as our speaker. As well as being one of UK's leading evangelists, Michael was Rector of St Aldates w...hen I came up as a student in 1985. Coming from a conservative non-charismatic Baptist background, I was simultaneously attracted and suspicious of the 'full on' charismatic experience I discovered at St Aldates. People would be queuing at the door just to get a seat, or more likely, a seat on the window sill! Under Michael's ministry my eyes were opened to a radical, lively and robustly Spirit-filled expression of Christianity, from which I've not looked back!"
