Ever since my two friends got shot at pic PAC liquor about a year ago I've been very interested as a... health educator on this subject of black men killing and assaulting each other seemingly to me over nothing- notning being nothin to die or kill over. I could be wrong but I was thinking what the heck was worth this kind of attack? Bc the the guys were from rival states? Was it gang related? Bc we know everybody loves their own family be it boys or kin. I don't see why fight to show love and loyalty. I'd only fight or kill to protect mine if I HAD to. Maybe they did. I don't know but I do know had they had died we'd have one mother broken hearted over burying her two sons and another mother crying over her son in prison for murder. Three lives thrown away and over what? Money? Maybe? States or bandanna color? That's not worth your life. Like Craig's dad on Friday said, you kids are punks, sissified, scared to take an a$$ whooping. This right here (fists) is all you need. You win some you lose some but you LIVE". Now I'm not promoting fighting but I'm just promoting not dying not killing and not being in prison. Why is this a problem? Bc people are poor. People are uneducated. When people are without what they NEED they get to thinking about Doing things maybe they wouldn't do had they had their basic needs met. The men maybe gone leaving single mothers to support the family usually with a few kids so she's gone at work taking care her family like a strong queen will maintain but the kids are left to do what they will and unfortunately too much time not busy kids get in trouble and run the streets and sell drugs to make money and cycle repeats. How do we get the people to break that cycle? Well it's hard! Very hard, education, outside activities, church, getting involved in somethin good, going to college or trade school and getting a job so you can have a better life but still it's so much harder than that.
