The people of Chile are saying NO to the neoliberal project that continues to reek havoc for the majority, for the benefit of the minority! A rebellion of the masses is underway, from Haiti to Lebanon, as working masses of the world continue to reject the vicious attacks of government and corporate interests.
Like in Chile, South Africa is brewing as the forces of White Monopoly Capital continue to annihilate the working class. Tito Mboweni’s “Medium Term Budget Policy Statement”, which he will make this coming Wednesday, is likely to propose further attempts to “stabilize” the economy through steps that will only worsen the lives of the working masses.
Yesterday the largest march in Chile was held with over a million people taking the streets. The rebellious joy of the people of #VictorJara was felt with hundreds of cantores and cantoras taking up their guitars and uniting in one sound and one song “el derecho a vivir en Paz!” / “the right to live in peace.” A song written by Jara in dedication to Ho Chi Min and the people of Vietnam.
