Wilton Manors enjoy taking money not only from residents but business owner, I don't use the trash service since my business does not dispose any trash at all, but I still have to pay the city $40 for... a 96 gallon trash can that I don't use and they say it's mandatory not to mention their "Ordinance No. 2016-016" is a total mess, they need to start from scratch with all these regulations and put everything clear not only on paper but also training employees so they know what they are doing. Can someone tell us when our fire department is going to open again? It has been over a year and this is way to long. God forbid there is a fire/emergancy and they are unable to get to it quickly beca...use there is a train passing through blocking them from getting where they are needed. See More

This is a wonderful small city. Nothing not to like here, except for waste management. They don’t like to pick up the recycling on my street on Fridays!

As a tourist from Illinois I visited Wilton Manors one night (6/23/17) and stayed at a Ed Lugo Resort. The stay was awesome the next morning went to Shawn & Nicks Courtyard Cafe for breakfast. I put e...nough change in the meter for 30min I thought. I came out and had a parking ticket. It couldn't not have been over the meter time more than a couple of minutes. I will warn friends if ever visiting Wilton Manors pay particular attention to the parking meters - or just don't go there. See More

For years I've been telling my friends come to our town, we have everything,,great bars, restaurants, people, events, etc...and many of them boycott our town because of parking, well now I understand......tonight we parked in the city lot on 26thst close to NE 8th ave and paid for 2hrs and 20 minutes and came back to our car 1hr and 40 minutes later and found a parking ticket on our car..This is OUTRAGEOUS!!! Even though we had to search all the surrounding numbers (because the paint is worn off most of the spots)to figure out our parking stall number we entered the correct stall # into the computer..and we still get a ticket...Now we pay over $7000 per year in property taxes, which Wilton Manors gets it's cut and we have to put up with parking meter maids who don't know what the f they're doing...At least when we lived in Fort Lauderdale we got a free parking pass to park at the beach..Wilton Manors doesn't give it's resident's shit and they ticket us irresponsibly...No wonder 80% of business's close up in less than 2 years in this city... Too bad the city can't stop the sexual activity going on at Colohatchee Park in the bathrooms and on the boardwalk. Isn't 20 years of this enough??? I guess the Parks and Rec Department can't get it... together enough to make this a place that you'd want to bring your kids to the playground there. $230k combined for the top 2 people at Parks n Rec per year doesn't buy a safe place in the city's only off-leash dog park? Even after hiring a full-time park ranger just for park safety issues like this one? I saw two cop cars there last week but they were just stopping in the parking lot to chat with each other. I felt like I was bothering them when I tried to talk to them about park safety. So sorry officer Mitchell. It won't happen again. See More

Considering this day and age of technology, i think it is reprehensible the City charges resident to pay utility bills online as a "convenience fee". It is a convenience to the City to not have to pa...y to process paper payments. Once again, a way to get residents to pay for things the City should have addressed many years ago. See More

Still wondering why there is NO Rainbow Pride Flag displayed anywhere in this #2 ranked same sex coupled city in the USA- Diversity? Or its only for special city sponsored events. Sounds alittle self ...serving if you ask me. No flag but more LGBT residents and businesses in the city that. Anywhere in Florida. Makes sense. Right. Update: Flag Will FLY Permanently on May 24, 2016 at 6:11pm EST! See More

They are always organized, friendly, and ready for us. I don't like the machine that you slide your ballot in, it seems temperamental.
