Went here for my first time last night.... Wow! We were there for two reasons.... steamers and lobster and they did not disappoint. After ordering we went outside and picked out our lobster which was ...then immediately cooked for us along with the steamers. Everything was so fresh and delicious!! Kurt, our server, took great care of us! What a wonderful night... no frills... just good fresh seafood! We will be back for sure! Thank you OLP! See More

Been going to this restaurant for 40 years. My absolute favorite and I don't live in Maine but I still get there once or twice a year ( more if possible). Always good service and the best and freshest... food available. Attentive and friendly staff. You can't go wrong!! See More

First time going there. A party of 12 people, 2 toddlers. They didn't have enough seating for us to all sit together, and they didn't really put us close enough together, that we could all still tal...k to one another. I ordered steak tips, I guess the only way for them to cook them well done was to burn the steak tips. They were still good, but the outside was charred. Mashed potatoes, had big hard lumps in it. Caesar Salad was ok, and the frozen margaritas were good. Our waitress did her best, as we had someone in our party with allergies. Prompt service, we didn't have to wait long for our meals to come. What's better than picking out your own fresh lobster and having it brought to your table by a very friendly and efficient wait staff. The most important part is the food was delicious from the perfec...tly cooked lobster to the BBQ chicken baked beans cole slaw...all delicious. You will go back again and again! See More

My family has been going here for 40+ years... having lived everywhere from New York, Pennsylvania, Boston… We always seem to come back here. Although I'm in my 20s, my earliest childhood memories are... being on vacation with my mom and dad and eating here. Although my dad has now passed on, my mother and I continue the tradition. We were just at OLP on Wednesday night and again we had another wonderful experience. I actually now live only 1 hour away (Bath) and my mother had come up from Pennsylvania to visit. Our server Whitney (?) was just the sweetest. Attentive but not overly and practically read our minds when it came to our needs. I love coming here. Mom is insisting on coming back up before the season is over to go again I'm not complaining See More

Been to a ton of these type places and I think this is the best, there’s something just magically old school down and dirty about it like going to Peter Lugers or something.

Be prepared to spend a big buck here at the Lobster Pound but every penny is accounted for when you dine. The customer service is top dollar and the lobster is great! What really impressed me was the ...quality of the steamers. Reasonably price for what you get and there is almost no trace of sand in the belly. I'll be back! See More

OLP has the best lobster anywhere, period. We've been visiting southern Maine for the past 30 years, and no trip is complete without a dinner at this place. Already looking forward to our next trip back.

Can't say enough great things about this place. From the staff to the food, everything was amazing. We ended up going 2 nights in a row because of how amazing it was! From the 3.5lb lobster I had to ...the steamers, lobster stew, and lobster Alfredo (gluten free) everything was flawless and the staff was friendly and helpful in every way!! 100% recommend and will go back!!
