Olio e Limone has been a favorite of my (now) wife and I since we started dating, so when we finally tied the knot, we decided on having the post ceremony luncheon here. From the moment I first E-Mail...ed them to set it up everything went off extremely smoothly. Elaine was very communicative and was able to answer any questions we had and it was no trouble at all to organize pre-party setup and deliveries (cake, flowers) to the restaurant.

The day of was about as perfect as can be. Giselle and the rest of the servers were absolutely fantastic. All the food came out at once (so half of the group wasn’t sitting around waiting while the other half ate) and they were always on the spot with drink refills and cutting the cake at the end. Everyone raved about the food, which was spectacular as always. They provided a fixed menu which covered all the main wants, and even offered a few extra, basic menu items for a few picky younger folks.

My wife and I have always looked forward to dining at Olio e Limone and now that we shared our special day there, we look forward to it even more :).

One of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara. Great for a special occasion. We went there for my birthday. Attentive and knowledgeable waiter gave us excellent recommendations about the food and wine.... The wine we got paired perfectly with all of our dinner choices. I had the ravioli stuffed with eggplant and goat cheese. It was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. My husband had the ribeye steak which was outstanding. We never felt hurried. It was a wonderful meal and at the end they surprised me with a molten lava cake and candle! We will definitely be back! PS. The adjacent pizzeria is excellent as well. See More

Average at best, rather hokey and clumsy restaurant. The staff try hard to please but it's just disjointed w/curtained walls and cramped tables. The acoustics are horrid and the crowd just as banal. T...he food was too greasy, rich, salty and prepared rather rushed. The wine is served at 55 degrees, a major plus and the servers all try very hard to be accommodating but I would not return. , Too much, for far too little and just too expensive for what the food delivers. This was a delicious meal and the service was perfect. I had the Carpaccio di Bue, it tasted just like the one I was served in Italy. I also had the scallopine with artichokes and lemon sauce which wa...s amazing. My husband had the prosciutto bruschetta and the pasta carbonara, he loved both dishes. We had the panna cotta and creme brulee for dessert and both were delicious. The artisinal italian beer was also excellent. See More

My last visit was Feb 18th of 2014: My biggest lasting impression of this restaurant (to which I'd never before gone) is surly waiters. Maybe they'd just learned that night that they were all going to... be fired at the end of their shift. --Who knows. They were unsmiling, unfriendly (even as we tried to interact with them in a friendly way), and slow. So that colored the whole meal for me. A great waitperson can elevate a mediocre meal and, likewise, a poor waitperson casts a pall over the rest of the meal. The osso bucco special that my friend had was quite tasty. My dish -- a curious and not quite successful combo of hot and cold (basically an arugala salad dumped on top of a beef filet sitting on some thinly sliced potatoes) was fine. For a place with the pretense to require that I secure my reservation with a credit card, they sure didn't bring their A-game. Our seats -- in the back room -- were distractingly close to the table next to us. Challenging not to hear the conversation next door, even if you are trying hard (and who wants to try hard to do anything at a supposedly "nice" restaurant?). Checking this place off the list. No need to go back. There are plenty of great restaurants in Santa Barbara See More

Gave a 3 but really poor service. Went for meeting, special room, Menu etc. Took 20 minutes extra to be served a pasta dish, after the rest of our party were served. They were done with their dinners ...when I was served. No explanation of from waiter, I packed up mine to take home since I would be eating alone. Disappointed :- ( See More

The appetizer and my husband's meal were very good. My seafood risotto was just ok. The server was a little bit cocky.

I love this place so much! I go there whenever I have a special occasion and it's one of those places where you can just close your eyes and order anything on the menu and you won't regret it.

Food always good. We had a reservation and it was obvious they were not ready for us. Granted it was a New Year's Eve lunch. We'll be back.

This place sucked - over an hour to get a dish of overcooked pasta - manager was a joke! Waste of time and $$$$

The Tagliere with cheese and salumi is wonderful. Very fresh, quality ingredients and they have terrific wines to go with it.

Food is very good, the service was "POOR" at best. Too much spent for having a waiter that cared so little about the food or client.
