Shareable recently released a book called "Share Or Die" which contains personal stories about people dealing with the realities of the "New New Economy", which touches on many of the topics I've been writing about. It's an interesting read, and seems likely to become a work that is frequently referenced (both positively and negatively) when the topic of individual struggles in this new world comes up over the next few years. My impressions of it are here: http://www.opir-music.com/ blog/policies/ share-or-die-as-a-survival-horr or-manual/

Our video for "A Graveyard Of Elephants" has been included in the "Occupy Music" project video collection. Occupy Music is for music supporting the Occupy Wall Street movement.
http://youtu.be/RKkn1IndLhI?hd=1 - Hello Opir fans,
we're currently working on a new album, as well as songs to be released before the album comes out. We're most of the way through a new song called "Our Restive Zeitgeist" about the growing protest movements around the wor...ld (Occupy Wall Street, the Indignados, the Arab Spring, and others.) Though they all grievances that are often specific to their political/local/regional situations, one thing that unifies them is a growing discontent with the status quo(s), current politicians, current systems, political orders, lack of progress, and non-solutions posing as solutions. In this song and its associated article, we'll be exploring this issue in more depth. When it's done, we'll be posting it for download.
I recently posted the lyrics and explanation for our song "Mussolini's Revenge", which deals with Crony Capitalism, quasi-Corporatism, and corruption in American politics today (and given recent events, is more apt than ever):

Finally, we're happy to report that we're gradually getting more fans on music networks like Jango and last.fm and continue to receive a good deal of positive feedback. We appreciate all you have done to spread the word about about us to those you think would be interested in our music and subject matter, and would ask that you continue to do so if you can.

- "In a landscape of tawdry, generic, dull and formulaic electronic music designed to maximise revenue for minimal outlay of effort, you have pushed the boundaries and produced something remarkable. Harsh, difficult listening, with a thought provoking message and an underlying, ominous sense of dread." - Recent comment on YouTube. We appreciate these a great deal. Thanks.
- BBC features our tweet quoting George Carlin (and the final lyric in "A Graveyard Of Elephants"): http://bbc.in/e8wO4R
- Happy to say that we've gotten some great comments on Jango lately: http://www.jango.com/artists/71031/comments
