People on the ground need more training. There was no proper communication upfront regarding registration on site, as a result was not allowed a pass to the welcome reception even though I was there b...y 7.30pm, did not make any sense to require a paper validation in this electronic world, where I could simply show my registration proof and picture ID, or simply keep registration open as along as the reception is going on! We paid for the event, yet denied entry due to a silly rule. And no directions provided during registration on the materials pick up and daily sessions guide even upon inquiring, had to find them all myself. It was my first OOW, people there seemed to assume we know it all. Sessions were very product specific or repetitive if we followed the same track. No CPEs given for participation either. It was very inconvenient to walk between locations to cover all sessions of interest. No proper info given on which session materials will be loaded to the site, when and for how long. See More

This star rating is only for Oracle's totally absurd closing of Taylor Street for a party. It's like Oracle giving the finger to the citizens of San Francisco.

It's fine that you close the street bet...ween the two convention halls. We are all used to this and see the necessity of creating extra space at the venue itself. And there are ways around this closure that allows people not involved in your world to navigate in our world.

But closing Taylor Street for a party to which the citizens of your host city were not invited was not a necessity. There were much better choices within walking distance.

It is a violation of your own sustainability initiatives to purposefully create one of the worst gridlock situations I have ever experienced in San Francisco. For a party that could have been held elsewhere and have been just as fun and effective for the attendees.

It is bad PR for your company and makes anyone who sat in traffic for an hour to drive two blocks hate your company, despite all the positive things present in Oracle's products and services.

Bought the discover pass. Discovered it was nothing to do with my area of oracle use. There were sessions for marketing but not alllowed in. Only one booth of interest and it was unmanned.
