Ottawa folks, #refugeeswelcomeottawa has organized this series of three events in our community. The goal is to figure out how best to show solidarity with refugees resettled in Ottawa. There is a panel discussion (Nov 23), a storytelling and poetry event (Nov 25), and a community organizing meeting (Nov 27). Please come to the one(s) you fancy and tell your peeps!

Presents an informal discussion on the Syrian refugee crisis
Salim Hanna, Tamam Kamou, and Rosemary Tayler will explain how interested people can come together to help Syrian families affected by war come to Canada so they can work and live in peace. They will address practical ways of helping these families adapt and integrate into Canadian communities and this culture. They will also answer questions about immigration procedures and how to sponsor a family.
