Tiki doesn’t have to be rum and pineapple. With the Saturn, gin is the featured spirit in this sweet refreshing classic from 1967. Depending on the recipe, it can be enjoyed up or over pebbled ice

Saturn (adapted recipe)
1.5oz Gin
.5oz lemon...
.5oz orgeat
.25oz passionfruit
.25oz falernum

Really nice spot close by some of Taipei's best restaurants. Engaging and knowledgeable staff. A must if your on this side of town!

Fantastic friendly bar in Taipei. Great drinks, great fit out and the atmosphere lends itself to staying longer than you ever plan :)

If you like high prices, bartenders with attitudes and stuck up people this is the place for you. Bartender told me he can't make Gin & Tonic because in Taiwan you can't get good tonic. That's funny b...ecause Schweppes the #1 tonic water since 1783 is in all the Welcome Supermarkets. Since I can't have a gin and tonic the bartender recommends a drink I say okay get the drink it's like 95% juice o it gets better when you see the bill for this drink..... And by the way I have been in the bar business in Taiwan for over 7 years and 15 years in USA. See More

I have always had a great experience here without a doubt. The staff has an excellent understanding of what specific flavors you'd like, presentation is beautiful, and always on point. Although they h...ave changed a few of their staff members, the ones I've remembered, were the best I've known in awhile. Keep it up! Would come back for a few drinks in a heart beat! See More

Excellent service, atmosphere, and location. Knowledgable and friendly staff, and some brands that I hadn't even heard of (with bonus explanation from the knowledgable staff about how a whisky can com...e to be named "Monkey Shoulder" based on the old whisky-making process). Also, never thought a drink could be spritzed with a liquor to provide yet another level of flavor.

Will forever recommend as #1 must-visit bar in Taipei.

Unpleasant experience - Upon arriving here, we were greeted by a very unfriendly man at the door to take our details. Firstly, it took a few minutes just for them to open the door to greet us and then... told us to wait 30 minutes for a table and they would call us (which they did not).
An hour later we went back to the door to check and he said they are unable to seat us without giving any explanation. We then asked for clarification and he kept closing the door on us right in our face to check inside and making us wait without any explanation as to why we could not be seated yet.
Finally after another 20 minutes of waiting by the closed door, he said we could be seated by the bar.
Definitely not a very pleasant first time experience coming or even entering into this bar.

Very bad experience there. Wait for one and half hour outside with bad quality expensive wine ( two kinds of red wine and one white wine and cost 300 NTD per glass, we take 7 glass for waiting sadly).... About one hour waiting we checked it again, the door man said he forgot our name (were passed by five or six groups already) and will arrange us in in 20 minutes, later he said he announced our name in public four time and he has to cancel our seat in just ten minutes despite we already wasted our time outside for one and half hour. The weirdest thing is we NEVER leave that place even just a door. Even the staff outside tried to help us to negotiate with the guy inside, the best thing they can do is serve us free popcorn and chips which we already spent much more time and money on the bad wine outside and it's included.( it's just so ridiculous for us) I cannot imagine a bar with so arrogant attitude in my city is popular or really good as they promoted. I just hope other people wouldn't be through such a same nightmare as us. I am sorry for that. See More

Best bar in Tapei. You go for the experience – walking through an empty coffeeshop, entering a secret door into a 1920s-style speakeasy – and end up staying for the cocktails. Bartenders are just the ...right touch of friendly and make the most amazing drinks, personalized for whatever mood you're in. I could not recommend Ounce enough. See More

It's a beautiful bar with amazing drinks.... Except, this is a speakeasy bar but plays the best of 80's and 90's music with some Indie rock... Really kills the mood. Would be perfect if they play some... old time jazz to fit the theme of the bar. See More
