This week, Republicans and centrist Democrats joined together to weaken Dodd-Frank and empower the same large financial institutions that caused the financial crisis. If you want to know why the American people have so much contempt for what goes on in Congress it is because time after time after time, the Republican leadership in Congress is doing the exact opposite of what the American people want and the Democrats are not united in opposition.

Broad bipartisan support, and internal Democratic divisions, for a rollback of Dodd-Frank.

Come out and phonebank for Doug Jones, the democrat running against Roy Moore in Alabama. Even though Doug Jones is running in one of the most conservative states in the country, he is running on the belief that health care is a right, that we need to raise the minimum wage, that women deserve the right to choose and equal pay for equal work, that we need to invest in education not incarceration, and that we need to fight climate change. His opponent, Roy Moore, is a neo-Confederate conservative. Come out and make sure Doug Jones wins.

All you need is your cellphone, a laptop, and a positive attitude. We will have people ready to train you in phonebanking if this is your first time.

It’s been five days since a Washington Post report detailed the stories of four women who allege that Republican nominee Roy Moore engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with them when they were between the ages of 14 and 18 years old and Moore was in his 30s.

Great turnout at our teach-In on public funding of elections! Looking forward to working to bring citizen funded elections to Prince George’s County.

Today! Come by the Maryland Food Collective at 5pm for a teach-in on public financing of county elections and how we can make it happen.

Thanks to Senator Rich Madaleno for coming and speaking to us yesterday! It was great to hear from a strong progressive candidate running to be the next governor of Maryland!

He was the first guest of the College Democrats and Our Revolution UMD’s joint-hosted speaker series.

Don't forget that tomorrow we are hosting a meet and greet with state senator and democratic gubernatorial candidate Rich Madaleno! Rich has been a progressive force in Maryland since he was first elected in 2002 and he has plenty of exciting plans for our state.
