Introspection The shadows flickered with every passing car. Periodically light would hit the scene and I could put together what was going on in the dark. The moisture in the air bit at my throat as it froze. My pain was irrelevant compared to what this man was going through. He sat alone in the cool air of the night. Staring off into space he seemed lost. [ 578 more words ]

Yesterday was a really bad day for me. I mean, it was a really, really bad day. I was taking my puppy outside to go to the bathroom. As I was putting him down, he jumped from my arms and landed kind of weird. He went down on his feet and then tipped over onto his side and his face. He was acting strange. [ 301 more words ]

Tap, tap, tap. The familiar sound of tapping in the background, the whispers of a crowd. Tap, tap, tap. My heart was racing. I was sweating. How embarrassing is it that no matter how many of these I show up to, I am still a nervous wreck. Tap, tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap. That sound? Why does it bother me so much? [ 607 more words ]

The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ as reviewed by The Scribbler The Night Circus, written by Erin Morgenstern, was one of the best books I have ever read. I am absolutley fascinated by February 29th. I seriously think it should be a national holiday. Birthdays and Easter and Christmas happen every year, but “Leap Day” only happens every four years. We could give gifts and stay home from school, or in my case just have a day off. It would be a holiday. But do all of you know why there is a 29th day in February only every fourth year?
