Our youngest nursery students plus the P1 (kindergarten class) still meet in the original mud and thatch building. If funds can be raised, we hope to construct a new building for these classes in January 2017. Do you know anyone that could help us?

Meet the Kitgum village: a small town of about 10,000 people. The actual group location is on the outskirts of town where there is no electricity. This beader group has chosen to call itself “Rwot-tek” meaning God is great. The Kitgum group began in December 2006 and now has 40 members. For Rwot-tek members, life is a daily struggle. The women struggle to provide daily food for themselves and their families. Most of the women are renting huts for $6 to $20 per month depending on the number of huts they are renting. However, because they are renting, there is little land nearby on which they can grow food. If they try to rent land farther away, then their crops may be stolen before they can be harvested. This is where our program comes in... http://ow.ly/7EtL30gSwTv

Our P-2 (1st graders) classroom is in need of 20 desks. As you can see in the picture, we purchased them plastic chairs in February, but they do not have a good writing surface.

Please donate today, so we can give them the 20 desks, they so desperately need.

Each desk costs $60 and can seat 4 students. A total of 20 desks are needed. (Cost: $1200 in total. $60 per individual desk)....

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Texas, especially is the Houston area. Our own employee, Jennifer Quackenbush-Dent , who lives in Clear Lake City, has received 40+ inches of rain from Hurricane Harvey and they are expected to get more in the next two days.

We have been in contact with her and her family, and know that she is safe. They still has power and water and their house has not flooded, but they are still expecting it will. Please keep Jennifer, her family and all those affected by Hurricane Harvey in your thoughts and prayers!
