Dear Friends, It's been four years since this page has been active. Myself I have moved out of the US after feeling the strain of everything we faced and then Hurricane Sandy. Since I've been working with the refugee crisis in Greece and getting involved in various things across the UK from housing issues to immigrant rights (of which my family are) and I'm realizing, everywhere is suffering in one way or another right now (and even worse beyond as we're STILL in this war). T...hing is I can't help but looking around at all of these things happening and think "where are the damn parents" yet again. The most active and inspiring parents are the refugee parents who have nothing but have stepped up and continue to step up every day for their children, I feel ashamed to have so much right now and be doing so little. All that's happening in the US, UK, Syria, and beyond affects our kids more than us in the long run. I don't know what form of action can be taken these days its a much different environment than 2012 but I couldn't stop myself from reaching out on here again to ask, are you guys feeling as shitty and anxious about everything as we are over here? The only way I know how to turn this feeling into something positive is by taking and being active, I just don't know what that looks like now-a-days. What do you think? Are you guys ready to start making some noise again like I am, but this time a bit louder, wiser, and internationally?
