What a morning! The Reservoir Police received their first of many calls of an explosion and fire somewhere between Palisades and Goshen Springs at 6:26 AM this morning. Units from the Reservoir Police, Rankin County Sheriff’s Office, Rankin County Emergency Operations, and Lake Harbor & Reservoir Fire Departments converged on the area to pinpoint the exact location. The fire was believed to be a gas pipeline rupture near highway 43 off Old Highway 471. Fortunately the blast occurred in a rural area and pipeline officials quickly shut off the supply of fuel to the site. Our community is fortunate to have such a pool of dedicated first responders. These people run to the danger when others are fleeing for protective cover. In addition to the many agencies listed above, many other neighboring jurisdictions were either on scene or on standby to support or back fill our units to ensure the safety of our citizens.

We moved to the area in late December/early January. When we were filling out the paper work, etc. for the utilities inspection we were never informed of nor given the application for connecting our w...ater. We were under the assumption that the fee associated with the utility inspection covered water and sewer. I found out today on my lunch break that our water would be cut off at the end of the day if we didn't go switch it into our name. Needless to say, I wasn't happy about it. It's a shame that PRVWSD has a government granted monopoly in the area because I'd be extremely tempted to change if it were possible. We should have been informed of this and given the correct paper work back in January when we were taking care of everything else. If you're going in to turn on utilities for a new house be sure you get the application for both utilities inspection and water connection. See More

Does anyone have any issues with bills fluctuating? One month will be $30 the next will be $60. And once before for two months it was $100 for only TWO people! What is going on? I called and nothing c...an be said as to why. The office is not very professional either so asking in case anyone knows whats going on or had this problem. Constantly an issue with this water company and I have only lived here a year and a half. Wish I could switch to Bear Creek Water Association!! See More

Completely worthless organization run by incompetent individuals. Disband the PRVWSD and allow the leaseholders to buy the land their homes reside on.
