This holiday season share this message for autism and developmental disability civil rights. The American’s with Disability Act can help solve problems, save costs and remove critical conflicts-of-interests between special interest and those autism and developmental disability services were intended to be for. All that is wanted this Christmas is not two front teeth like some holiday songs go, but for goodness sake some common sense and dignity.
Please make a call to Senator McGuire’s office at 1.707.445.6508 about "Sugar Gate" and leave a voice mail of support. I met with his office and our local Congressman's office with the State Council on Developmental Disabilities in the month of November. Ask that the Senator stand up for civil rights and Nathan Young’s common sense plan for reasonable accommodations in the assessment of needs within the California DDS System. My sister-in-law recommended this facility after hearing wonderful reviews. Unfortunately I had a very terrible experience with one of your Direct Service Providers at the location: 9900 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79925. The name of the Direct Service Provider was Julia Antenucci. She was very unprofessional and carried a rude demeanor. I did not appreciate her carelessness toward addressing my concerns about my son. She was not helpful with answering my questions and she was bold enough to tell me to look somewhere else for care. I am contacting you because I do not think she reflects the values of this company. I felt very embarrassed and hurt that day considering how Pacific Child specializes in helping children like my son who are struggling everyday. I will be going elsewhere for help because of your ill-mannered employee. Please take this e-mail into consideration before hiring inexperienced individuals.
