The PEP Program teaches parents many parenting skills, we call them "tools"! A very important tool parents will learn at a PEP weekend is "Who's the PARENT?".

This tool helps parents establish their role as “The Parent”. It is an important part of building the foundation the child needs to become a confident, capable, independent, mature adults.

Here's your chance to take part in PEP, a fantastic parenting workshop just for you!

Raising a child or teenager with a genetic bleeding disorder brings challen...ges that impact on the entire family. The PEP programme promotes positive parenting with a focus on the unique problems faced by children with bleeding disorders. Parents are encouraged to consider, understand, and deal with the thoughts and feelings that come with having a child with a bleeding disorder, and how that impacts on their parenting. PEP is an opportunity to learn and to support each other through shared experiences.

This year's workshop will be run over 3 days in Porirua from June 16th to 18th.

To book your place, or find out more, contact your Outreach Worker, or email karen@haemophilia.org.nz TODAY
