ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE:
A temporary road closure is scheduled for 3-14-18 through 3-17-18 on Washington Avenue between Swordfish Street and Ruland Street. Closure of this area will allow for the installation of the storm drain and sewer items along Washington past the Sunfish Street intersection. The proposed detour route is outlined on the attached image, and access to the affected subdivision would be from the east access point shown on the detour plan, with local access to homeowners along Washington Avenue and St. Mary Street maintained as it currently is. Thank you for your continued patience as we address the City’s infrastructure needs.
Jackson County and the Cities of Gautier, Moss Point, Ocean Springs and Pascagoula are working on a master plan for walking, bicycling and paddling throughout the County. You are invited to come and share your thoughts and ideas.
ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE:
A temporary road closure is required from March 14th – March 16th for the intersection of Hospital Road and Old Mobile Hwy. This is to complete the final layer of asphalt needed in the roundabout. Paving operations also include the ongoing improvements of Hospital Road from Tupelo Avenue south. Thank you for your continued patience as we address the City’s infrastructure needs.
Road improvements on Jackson Avenue, between Market Street and Pascagoula Street, will be happening over the next few weeks in an effort to restore a smooth driving surface. Damaged concrete panels need to be removed and replaced before new striping can be put down. One lane closures can be expected in one or both directions, but at least one lane should always be open in each direction. We ask that motorists be cautious and please drive slow. Contractors will be coordinating with businesses to arrange driveway access with as little interruption as possible.
