I had the feeling of more space opening up in my body particularly in the sacral region where I have a fusion
. The light presence of Peg's hands was just enough to awaken a sort of quiet energy that ...felt as though it were coursing up and down my body from head to toe. When Peg supported my sacrum with one hand underneath and one on top, it felt as if gravity had less of an impact on my pelvic area allowing it to align with the vertebrae above and below. I left the session feeling an incredible presence of calm. See More

Over the years I have appreciated using either massage for relaxation, deep tissue massage, full body energy work, yoga and acupuncture to relieve physical pain and/or emotional stress. Each practice... provides enormous relaxation benefits to me. My recent first experience with CranioSacral brought this state of relaxation to a new level. From the moment that Peg gently put her hands on my feet, I could feel the effects. It expanded from there over the next hour. Afterwards I had a level of clarity in my head that is quite different from the other practices. After achieving that intense state of relaxation, I expected to feel "fuzzy". It was the absolute opposite. See More

ZB is a bodywork protocol that balances the relationship of energy and structure in the bones and tissues of the body. ZB sessions not only help to relieve stress and tension but also can work to alleviate structural or energetic imbalances of the body. Please contact me if you have any questions about ZB or if you are interested in learning more about it! (www.zerobalancing.com)

I remember I was working at a gym. A lanky couple came in inquiring about membership. I was going to give them a tour when they said, “We just want to know how many treadmills you have.” So I told them and proceeded to tell them about some other features of the gym. “That’s OK,” they said, “we‘re on...

Last week I completed the second level of CranioSacral training with Upledger. Another amazingly full, fascinating four days. I'm more convinced than ever of the power and relevance of this work as a modality of healing. There is much, much more I need to learn through lots of practice and further course work, (next one in December!)...but will begin to incorporate what I have learned into my practice. Thanks to all who have and continue to take me up on offers of free CranioSacral sessions so I can practice! Please let me know if you have questions about or an interest in learning more about this important form of bodywork.

Last week, a new study found that massage really does work to ease those sore muscles after a tough workout. Just 10 minutes can reduce inflammation, which can help your body recover.
