You may remember Andy from a recent post. Andy who could be sweet, but was very unpredictable and would not hesitate to growl to warn that the next move will be a sharp snap.

Well our little boy Andy has his new forever home. His new Mum, Karen, called in today to say how much Andy is loved, and how well he fits in with herself, Jamie and their other furbabies. He has a spot on their bed to sleep, enjoys running around on their acreage and herding the goats, and enjoys going for walks. He has a special friend in Milly, one of the little furbabies who is about Andy's age.

We are so delighted for Andy and cannot thank Karen and Jamie enough for giving Andy the care, attention and training he needs. <3 <3

We are in need of some products for our doggies. We require sardines in oil, as well as chicken carcasses or necks (not chicken wings thanks). We are very appreciative of any help you might be able to give. :)

This is Lucy. Lucy is available for adoption <3

All our cats, dogs and volunteers would like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter.

Although we are closed to the public until Tuesday, our wonderful volunteers will still be coming in to care for our furbabies.

Stay safe on the roads, and please keep chocolate well out of the way of your pets, as it could cause very serious problems for them!

Happy Easter :)

Bruno (the dog) and Gina (the cat) are getting into the Easter spirit. They are both available for adoption.

UPDATE: Andy is being given a chance at a new life. We have our fingers crossed for him. <3

Andy needs a home :(

The time has come again when we are searching for a suitable owner for our 3yr old smart little Shih-tzu, Andy. We love this little chap dearly, but it is seriously time for us to find him a new home. Apart from quietly enjoying his “temporary” boarding at the shelter, he really wants to find a forever person to share affection. His personality has softened great...ly since his arrival and he has warmed wonderfully towards several of the volunteers. (The potential is really there!)

His history shows he has a big Attitude. He is quite unpredictable and regularly flashes his little white pearls to warn that the next move will be a sharp snap. He has tried out several homes but his “Return” button continues to rule! He needs a firm, yet loving person who would only share their time with him and no other friends or to always be isolated if friends arrive. Jealousy seems to be his greatest downfall.

He still respects our wonderful groomer, at GoMaz Grooming in Clontarf – ph. O402 324 554. Maz has kindly donated her services for several salon treatments over the months Andy has been at PAA. His latest hair trim makes him look the smartest little fellow in town.

He walks very well on a lead, is house-trained, loves to play with his favourite toy, sleeps in a cosy bed, and loves the freedom of racing around madly when he has an open yard. He is a real little pocket rocket. Andy is de-sexed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, monthly heartworm treated and on 3-monthly worming. He is rearing to go.
Is there anyone out there who could help his little guy?
