We adopted our gorgeous cat from PAA and although she became sick outside of the 7 day period where insurance is covered by them, when we contacted PAA, they so supportive, concerned and did everything they could to help us and our fur baby. She has since made a full recovery with the appropriate care and vet treatment. I have never met people who genuinely love and care for the animals as much as the staff at PAA and manager Joanne who are amazing See More

New foster babie... he's a wolfhound x pup around 9 weeks old (so the vet says) found at deception bay shops and then taken to the shelter and then to me. He's ...a chubby little guy (too chubby so the vet says for his age) ... has no microchip and also a serious flea problem which I've fixed. He's has now had his 1st vaccination. Contact the shelter. Why is this page not as good as the original one? Social media is the tool of the future and facebook is one of the best to get your message across. The previou...s facebook was way more informative. where are all the pictures of available dogs for adoption for example, I am on facebook every couple of hours and love getting up dates, some of which I could use to help re-home some of the animals. no one logs on to a website every couple of hours but they do with facebook especially when you click a button on your smart phone. please go back to the origninal format. Even the website isnt as informative if I was to use that as a tool. See More

PET OWNERS! There is a skinny blonde haired lady driving around Mt Cotton and The Redlands stealing dogs and cats. She sells the cats to grey hound tracks to use as bait to train the hounds and sells the dogs to be used in illegal dog fights. She drives a red hyundi getz number plate 740 HPU. The Police are looking for her so if you have any information or see her call crime stoppers!

What a great job these people do - Do yourself a favour and go down to their Hydrobath - These people must be angels on earth for the job they do to help ALL the animals that come into their care. I wish I could do more to help them.

Thank you to Angie for sending us an update on Skye.

Hello. I adopted Skye a few months ago. Just wanted to thank you. She has brought so much joy to our family and we love her so much. She is such a character always coming up trying to lick my face. Taps me gently with her paw to wake me up and snuggles so beautifully. Kind regards. Angie 😊

A huge thank you to Chris who is one of our regular supporters. Chris quite often comes in with treats for the cats, dogs and volunteers. Today she donated a number of items, including towels, mats, cups with some goodies in them to give to people adopting animals as well as goodies in a bucket for volunteers. She said that she is “a cat lover who is happy to help in any way I can”.

Thank you so much Chris

Thanks to Katarena for the update on her beautiful babies.

This is Mina (who was Taz) and Dracula ( who was Louis). They have been together since they were kittens in the same cage at PAA. My partner at the time and I adopted them together in 2011. Following the breakdown of the relationship, they both came with me and they have been with me through thick and thin over the years. They're even about to move interstate with me to go take care of my mother in Victoria as we start a new chapter of our lives together. These two belong together forever, and if I have any say in it, they'll never be apart.

Thanks to Kate for the update on Lola

Hello PAA this is Lola, two years on from being adopted from PAA. She is still very much adored and spoilt. She spends a lot of energy in being so gorgeous that she has to lounge about to recover as well.

We cannot thank you enough for Lola. She has been such a blessing in our lives and we will always be grateful for the amazing work and dedication of the PAA team of volunteers.

She is our only dog as she doesn't like to share her family on a fulltime basis, but she gets plenty of schnauzer love through the Schnauzer SEQ group.
