The new school year is arriving quickly and summer is coming to a close. The yellow buses will be on the road and our hallways will once again be filled with the sound of our children. As your principal, I can not express how EXCITED I am for August 28th! We have been planning all summer and we are ready to begin the 2017-2018 school year. This year we have 5 experienced teachers that have been added to our team. This school year is go...ing to be like no other, PCMS has a "ROCKIN" staff, new course additions, new club offerings, new student furniture, upgrades to our facilities such as solar panels, room remodels, athletic additions, active panel boards and the list goes on! Please be sure to attend the Back to School Bash, August 17th between 12pm-6pm to receive your chromebooks, fill-out lunch forms, review bus information and update your contact information. Additionally, the Fall Sports meeting is Aug 17th at 5pm in the auditorium. To receive your child's schedule, tour the school and meet the teachers; please visit us at Open House on Wednesday August 23rd, 4pm-6pm.
***REMINDER: 6th Grade Orientation is August 8th and 9th. This is a 2-day orientation for students.

PCMS Teachers want to hear from parents and students! What clubs are you interested in for the 2017-2018 school year? Clubs are offered during school hours from 2:00pm - 3:00pm every other friday. Let us know your interests!
Congratulations and best wishes to five PCMS students and their coches who are headed to New Mexico July 21 to compete in the National Hunter Safety Competition. This is the first team from PCMS to compete on the national level in over 16 years! You can read more about the team in today's Perquimans Weekly. Update: PCMS PE Teachers will evaluate the field tomorrow morning and make a decision regarding field day. A phone call will go home in the morning if there is a change. Plan B includes an indoor field day, rotating grades in the gym for 1.5 hours.
