I went to see Godfathers of Hardcore, a documentary following Agnostic Front and def give it 5+ stars. The documentary follows AF and has clips from the earlier days in NYC where the hardcore scene be...gan and the reason behind this new movement. Agnostic Front has paved the ways for others to express themselves as an outlet and for others to join this scene who all felt the same way. To live their life on their terms, not authorities or anyone else’s.
3 decades later; they are still playing shows. It was cool to watch where they are now, following the lives of Roger Miret and Vinnie Stigma and learning about how they were then and what their lives are like now, as they show their families.
I think anyone that watches this will really be surprised.
The movie lives to its title: “The Godfather’s of Hardcore”
I have a whole new level of respect for them.
This is for all generations and anyone who is into documentaries. I look forward to being able to buy it so I can watch it again (if they put it out in the movies or DVD)

For me there are 2 things that set the Phoenix Film Festival apart from 99.9% of other US festivals. 1) The staff from top to bottom actually care about the movies they are playing. A lot of other fe...stivals say they do, but you don't feel it when you're there. At Phoenix you know you and your film are highly valued. 2) The audience that attends the event really love indie movies and they attend in high numbers! It's such a wonderful thing for a filmmaker to be in an environment with enthusiastic audiences and a caring fun staff. You really do feel like you're part of a community of cinema lovers at the Phoenix Film Festival. I can't wait to make another film so I can go back! Thanks Phoenix! See More

Great festival! The films were fantastic for the most part. Only one feature I saw I didn't think belonged. Other than that might need a little improvement in the party pavilion Saturday night, but th...ose things are small considering the bigger picture. Get it. It's a pun. ;) Okay, everyone, just come to the festival. You'll see many good films and really might even discover your new favorite movie. See More

Never have my eyeballs burned so good! 12 straight hours of Horror/Sci-Fi (with Horror being my favorite genre). Every piece of worked I watched today displayed passion from all corners. I couldn't ge...t enough of it. The staff behind the scenes also gets major kudos for keeping everything running in a smooth, precise fashion. I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds~ See More

Every movie I have seen at the Festival has an original story with substance followed by good direction/writing. My favorites the past 2 years were "Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter" & "Sing Street". The m...iddle school & high school shorts show the wonderful imagination of students in Arizona. The volunteers have been extremely friendly in helping organize all the events surrounded with the Film Festival. See More

An amazing line up of quality filmmaking. From the magnificence of World Cinema with "The Devil's Mistress" to the feel-good indie competition film "Brave New Jersey." Not to mention the vast variety... of short films, documentaries, and the Int'l Horror and Sci-Fi available for our viewing pleasure. There's still today, tomorrow, and Thursday to catch the great line up! See More

Most fun festival yet! Centrally located, great parties, great food, great bar, happy and helpful volunteers, perfect screening of our film with no glitches whatsoever. And the best turn-out of film g...oers we've had at a festival--we filled the theater! Plus, one of our theater sponsors was Tuft & Needle and they threw in a $100 memory foam pillow with our swag bag; best pillow I've ever owned! Unfortunately, my wife confiscated it for her own use so I'm stuck with my crappy feather pillow again...indie film-making is hell. See More

If you have to attend a Film Festival in the PHX area this is the one to checkout. There are quite a number of films in the line-up that screened at Sundance 2015. Such as: Me and Earl and the Dying... Girl (US Grand Jury and Audience Dramatic Award winner), The Strongest Man, Slow West (World Cinema Grand Jury Dramatic Award Winner) and White God. Just to name a few. See at movie at PFF and support indie films. See More

This is my 3rd movie/shorts that I saw this year. I saw animated shorts, (which was not my 1st choice). I did enjoy 3 of the 8 shorts. I loved the experience. Getting the opportunity to see these ...was why I rated it a 5 star experience. See More
