With my family and other obligations right now, I haven't had time to pursue photography the way I'd like. I hope to be back one day pursuing the perfect sunset, until then, love each other lots and keep shooting!
P.S. Keep sharing those wonderful photos!
*Back from Nicaragua.*
This Giving Tuesday, and through the holidays, I ask that you please consider giving a donation, small or big, to help these kids continue to grow and have opportunities they might not otherwise have had.
I returned recently from Nicaragua, and there's nothing that makes me happier than seeing the kids I've watched grow up over the years. These kids have opportunities they never would have had without Empowerment International. Seeing the kids eyes ligh...t up from donated cameras a few generations old, simple math puzzles, and just being in front of a camera to smile for a few seconds makes me happy.
Please consider making a donation this holiday season!
A special thanks to Eyes of Hawaii Photography Club and Hawaii Photo Rental for their donations.
*On a Bridge.*
It's nice to be on a bridge. I can look back, look ahead, and enjoy where I am right this moment.
In the process of recovering all my data from a crashed drive. Working with the photos I have available to share....
It's almost the weekend! Have a good one everyone. Aloha no!
The last day before I left, I decided to head out and take sunrise pictures. The day before was rainy, dreary, windy, and oh so gloomy! There will be brighter days ahead...
Have a great weekend!
*Tokyo from Above.*
This was taken from the Tokyo Skytree. A little expensive, ~$30 all the way to the top. It was a fun experience to try once. Just wish the people walking by would quit shaking my camera! Or maybe the building was swaying. Difficult to get a sharp shot with all the movement.
I've also added more photos to my Japan album, please feel free to browse: http://photosew.us/japan...
Is it only Tuesday??
I don't spend as much time as I'd like doing street photography, but in a place like Tokyo, it's almost impossible to not take at least one.
Have a great weekend everyone!
*Last Day in Japan.*
I just returned from a trip to Japan with my mother, and it was a great trip! We visited many areas of Japan, including Fukuoka, Kyoto, Niigata, Sakata, Hakodate, Aomori, Yamagata, and Tokyo.
I also realized how much I missed home. I haven't been posting much to social media in general, but I do know that photography is something I will continue to do even though I may not share as much as I did before. I hope you are all in good health and ready for t...he holiday season.
Take care of each other and until next time, aloha no!
Sometimes you need to take a closer look to find true beauty. Despite our imperfections, there's beauty in everything.
Hope you find beauty in whatever comes your way this week! Good or bad....

Photography has been an outlet for me for the past couple of years. Actually, it's been an outlet for more than that, but I took a hiatus of over 6 years. It's kind of a strange adventure...sometimes I feel like I'm right back where I started. It's still a lot of fun, though!
Have a great weekend everyone!
*Sleeping Under the Milky Way.*
Spent the weekend on the island of Molokai with good friends. I even got to sleep under the Milky Way and see some shooting stars -- more than I think I've seen in my entire life!
Have a great week!
