Greg Kot is one of the greatest music critics we've ever had, and after 30 years on the beat, he's left the Chicago Tribune. (Sound Opinions, thankfully, goes on.) Such a huge loss, but countless music fans, myself included, are so lucky to have read his work. His love of music, his unquenchable curiosity and smart and heartfelt way with words were a huge inspiration.

An honor and privilege to profile Amanda Huff, Immortal Girlfriend, Kaylee Crossfire, Rose of the West and Them Coulee Boys for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Wisconsin Bands to Watch for 2020. These artists – and so many more in the state — are doing exceptional things.

ZED KENZO hasn't even released an EP or album yet but she's already a thrilling live act. Here's a sample of her Cactus Club set for Arte Para Todos, which runs through Sunday and benefits arts programs at local schools. She's also playing the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Bands to Watch Summer Showcase May 19 at the 88Nine RadioMilwaukee Studios. https://www.facebook.com/events/167212457137876??ti=ia
