We are so very happy to have found our new member of our family, Dolly. Unfortunately, I have to agree with others that their customer service is REALLY REALLY ...bad. We drove about 40 minutes to pick up our new doggy after already filling out the paperwork prior that day. It was a very long work day for both my fiancé and I but we were so excited for Dolly. Upon arrival, we checked in and there were about 4 staff members sitting at the welcome desk. One of which was helping a family and the other 3 were just sitting and talking with one another. We had to wait about 15 minutes for them to finish their personal conversations just for us to get our dog we already paid for. The vet was very friendly, but the staff upfront acted like they didn't even want to be there, let alone have to speak with us. Now, a day later Dolly seems to be very sick. I have now been on hold for 35 minutes on the customer service line! I could have just drove all the way back over there in this time. No one will return my Facebook messages either. I understand that there are mostly volunteers here, but you guys depend on us, the tax payers, to adopt these animals and give them loving homes. The least you could do is give us proper customer assistance and compassion! See More

Came their to reclaim my Siberian Husky missing since 09/10/2016...They knew they screwed up because they know me & my dog. She has been reclaimed there a few t...imes "no issues". Was walked around the whole facility... They acted like the dog was there. "We'll folks, bad news... Some bullshit story they tried to sell me about my dog was a bite hazard so they euthanized her. Yep! My dog never bit anyone since she was born... All he'll is gonna break loose.

I am so impressed with the whole adoption process at Pinellas County Animal Services. I found the absolute perfect cap for a family and we are so in love with h...im and he with us. He's come down with a upper respiratory infection and they got him in immediately are currently giving him a Nebulizer breathing treatment and sending me home with antibiotics. They have been courteous friendly and extremely helpful. If you're looking to adopt a pet, this is the place to go! See More

I called ahead to see what was needed to get my puppy Molly microchipped. They informed she only needed to be licensed. Off we went. No waiting time, very clean and orderly. Everything went smooth, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I am very happy.

Absolutely pleased with the cleanliness of the facility today when I visited. Everyone was so friendly. Great advantage to give those furbabies a home today wit...h waving fees. No pressure and complete professional openness with the facility. I enjoyed being able to take time to spend with the dogs one on one. See More

Sad that i thought we gave Pepper a good home and come to find out she was found as a stray and then we were told we had to pay to get her back but yet the shel...ter claims they want pets reunited with their owners! The heartless woman that lied about giving her a good home should have to pay not the owners!!!! See More

Courteous, friendly staff. Rabies update shot for my dog. From walking in to walking out total time 20 minutes. Knowledgeable personnel when I inquired about the vaccine. Very happy doing business with the PCAS. This took place on December 8.

I work for a vet and yesterday I had to pick something up from animal services... Stood there for 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me, then I watched the l...ady forcefully drag a dog to the back. I was NOT impressed and actually disgusted at the lack of compassion. My heart breaks for every Animal there. See More

I adopted my dog Jeter there, I adopted my best friend. The staff was excellent, from start to finish; dedicated, compassionate, rock stars in a very demanding ...profession. The worst part was having to wait a few days for his neuter before we got to take him home. I couldn't have gotten a better dog, thank you. See More

Check out our Available but in Treatment pups! These guys don't get their pictures taken very often because they are getting over their colds (kennel cough). If these pups are already altered they can go home with treatment. We recommend this for any families who do not have a pup at home already.

Update: Sawyer has found his forever home!!!!! We are so happy for your buddy - you have a great dad to look out for you. Happy Tails!!!

Sawyer (A34381503) has many talents that we are just now finding out about - I can sit, lay down, go to bed when told and shake or give paw. I come when called and I love people but I am scared in the shelter and would do great in a forever home. I am gentle and very treat motivated. Plan to spend some time with me to really see my true self. Sawyer is about 1 year old and weighs about 43 pounds. Pinellascounty.org/animalservices open Saturday 9 a.m to 1 p.m.
