Have to be honest....I’ve never been lucky enough to have been in Pineville. I do, however, have a question for your good town. I saw a post today - someone trying to find someone from your fair tow...n - she found his class ring. Pineville HS, Class of 1970. I will save the post...and if you contact me I may be able to get this ring back to its rightful owner (Perry Galloway). See More

First of all, I would not live any where else...... Let me tell you about Pineville, La. Couple of years ago, at the "Dollar Store" on Main St. at check out , my bill came to $2.02. I had two dollars ...and a twenty dollar bill, but no change. The [mature- my age] black lady that had just checked out and was picking up her stuff, realizing I needed .02 cents or would have to break the 20, said " wait a minute honey, I think I have some pennies, dug around in her purse and gave the cashier the two pennies I needed. About 8months later, same store, wife and I in line , see a small commotion at check-out, elderly white lady seemed a little upset or confused. Middle aged black man, with his son, right behind her was talking to cashier. when we got to check-out, I asked cashier about the discussion. She said the lady [white] did not have enough money to cover her purchases. She added that the black guy paid the difference for the lady. I said " that was very considerate" the cashier said " sure was, almost $10.00 dollars worth...............Whats' my point, there isn't any , just neighbors helping neighbors. What's it like where you live...... See More

I grew up in Pineville, and know the people there are great.
Some points to remember:
1) Facebook is a business, not a government entity, and the first amendment does not apply here....
2) Instigating an argument with M.P.s and local police, who are trying to keep a military base secure, will result in a predictable outcome (especially in the temporal context of police and military coming under attack).
3) The obvious answer to "why are you filming the entrance to a military base?" is: "so that I can start an argument, get arrested, post it to youtube, and then claim a constitutional rights violation".

Very nice city to live in, my wife and I enjoy it! The town itself is very clean and organized which is due in large part to the superior leadership of the city council and Mayor Clarence Fields. I am... retired now, and I really can't think of a better place to do so, there are so many places to fish and camp within 50 miles, very good restaurant circuit ,you can always find what your hungry for, great investment climate, Very good Christian environment, many great churches, the medical community is well represented with 2 first class hospitals, a surgical center and a pleathora of private practices, friendly people. I can't imagine a better place to retire! See More

Please do not comment negatively to my view of Pineville. I grew up there and will support it always. This is my opinion! If you don't agree with me then put your own opinion in the ratings. Thank Y...ou!

I am proud to say I'm from Pineville and love this town. Showing your ID in Louisiana is for our safety from such people like this so called journalist. The welcome and friendliness of our National Guard along with Pineville Police have always been one of the finest. They keep us safe from people that are doing suspicious things. Like filming of property that you shouldn't even be loitering on. I have property across a road and would not enjoy someone I don't know to be on it or even on the curb of it.
So Thank You Pineville Police and Camp Beauregard for protecting my rights and freedom from people who would act like he did in his video!
I Salute You all that serve to Protect!

Pineville is a great place to call home. Great leaders with the Mayor and other town officials. Top notch Police & Fire folks. Just all around great atmosphere. Friendly down home businesses with orga...nizations such as ( North Rapides Business & Industry Alliance ) that help promote small businesses in the area.
It doesn't take a sharp eye to find good people in Pineville, they're all over. Happy to be here.

My parents moved here in 1946, when my dad Dr. Paul R. Godfrey started teaching chemistry at Louisiana College. Lived here off and on between 1946 and 2007, except for military service and 2 year job ...change in Monroe.

Great place to grow up and worked for 36 years at Town Talk, while living in Pineville.

Pineville will always be home to me.

Was honored to get to pray and share the stage this morning with some very special guests for Pineville's first COPS (Community Overcoming People Stereotypes) P...rogram. Had just over 100 kids and parents come for challenging and inspiring messages from Hollywood Actress and Alexandria native Natalie Desselle pro athletes like Lloyd Mumphord, who won a Super Bowl with the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins...and Hollis Conway, 2-time U.S. Olympic medalist. Great opportunity to poor love and knowledge into some very impressionable minds!
