Quality people doing quality work in a sustainable way that truly helps the rural poor in the majority world. My world view of the poor has shifted thanks not only to the work Plant With Purpose does,... but also because of how they communicate the work that they do. See More

I love this organization– addressing root causes is the way to go. Environmental, economic, and spiritual poverty are all linked issues, and Plant With Purpose understands that well!

This is Lucas' cocoa farm in the Domincan Republic. When we came to visit him, here is what he said, "I feel happy because all of you are here. I’ve been impressed by the savings group. I’ve been a member for five years and it is the most important thing I have participated in. To know Plant With Purpose has been a blessing to me. I am proud of the knowledge I have gained. We are developing new techniques and learning how to better take care of our crops.”

"Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world."

–Joel A. Barker

We have a vision of hope. We don't see deforestation and extreme poverty as two seperate issues, but as one issue that can be fought holistically. In the past 30 years we have seen tremendous success partnering alongside our donors and partners, and we are so excited to see how our vision of hope will flourish in the future!

Kayero Methodist Church in Burundi decided they wanted to rethink the way they use the 20 acres of land the church owns and find a way to use it to benefit the surrounding community. One way they are using the land is to plant bananas, and anyone from the community can come to help cultivate the land and benefit from the harvest.

Thank you for coming alongside farmers like those in Burundi. From your support we are seeing huge progress in countires all across the globe.

Growing out of poverty takes a lot of things. A healthy environment... opportunities... skills and knowledge. Helping others grow also takes love.

“We never ate vegetables like this before because we couldn’t afford them. [Plant With Purpose] showed us how to cook salads, vegetable soup, and how to prepare zucchinis from our garden.”

“The earth will not continue to offer its harvest, except with faithful stewardship. We cannot say we love the land and then take steps to destroy it for use by future generations.”

–John Paul II

As we reflect back on what God has given us this past year or so, it reminds us of His goodness, as well as His calling for us to be good stewards of what we have been given. We pray and hope as we move forward in 2018 that we as a Church continually learn how to be better stewards of what we have been given, and are able to be constantly aware of how God has blessed us.

In places like Mae Jawn we have seen God bring healing and revitalization to relationships within the community. Jaam Kham opened his heart to Christ which sent a ripple wave throughout his family. Jaam's dad experienced a similar transformation shortly thereafter. Now the two of them are motivated by their faith to bring restoration to their whole watershed.

We are excited to announce that your support has now allowed rural communties all over the world to plant 25 million trees! Without trees, farmers around the world wouldn't have the proper soil health to feed their families and earn an income. Thanks to you, we can look forward to a brighter future.
