Wish it was still open. My father-in-law worked there for many years. He was good friends with Bill Anderson. It's sad that Bills children didn't continue with the Ponderosa, but instead sold it, whic...h is why it closed. It attracted visitors from all over the world. See More

I'm a very big fan, only wished I could have seen the Ranch... I live in Omaha, but did get to see Little Joe... Michael Landon in person at the near by Sydney,Iowa Rodeo back in 1963...He, "Little Jo...e" came racing out the horse chute on His very own painted horse from the TV series, to the thrill of everyone... I will always remember that time in my young life... Paul, from Omaha, Nebraska. See More

Enjoyed seeing this, was closed, but still able to get some pictures. The trail had a nice view of Lake Tahoe.

I remember going there when I was little. That was a memory I will never forget. Came home with a tin cup. And I still have it. In the 60s.

Most of the incline village set is now torn down. It looks like the house and barn remain but most of the town is being demolished

I had my eighth birthday party here. I got the full experience, rode up on the wagon and got robbed by outlaws, rode horses on the trail, spent way too much time in the crooked house, the works. It wa...s mesmerizing. I wish the place was still open. See More

I went there several times as a kid. It was wonderful! Once, my dad took me on a special tour they had, where you would horseback ride from the Ponderosa Ranch through the mountains to a breakfast t...hat they had set up. Best breakfast in my whole life. Too bad they closed it down, wish they could re-open it for camping or something. I'd go again in a heartbeat. See More

My parents took us there in the summer of 1968. It was wonderful, just like the tv show! We went in trail ride, watch when the Cowboys robbed the bank, very exciting! But I think the Best part was m...eeting the real life actors that were the Cartrites! To be honest I loved visiting the horses more! I guess that's when I decided I was going to have horses when I grew up. And I did! Had my own ranch and I raised, breed and showed Quaeter Horses! What a wonderful time in my life! See More

As a child my family and I went on vacation and visited places all over California. San Francisco, Reno, Doner pass, Yosemite and The Ponderosa Ranch. The best time of my life! In the late 70s The Pon...derosa was open, beautiful and doing tours. It was so cool for a 10 year old lil cowboy. I hope that it is cared for and preserved. See More

When I lived up in South Lake Tahoe, CA for a few years, I used to love visiting the Ranch, it felt like I was inside of the Bonanza show and enjoyed the Ponderosa Ranch all the time.

Miss it,now th...at I'm not there anymore also Carson City and Virginia City. See More

Too bad the Duffields bought the place. I think the state of Nevada should have bought the ranch and made it into a State park. What a shame.

Went 3 or 4 times as a kid and once shortly before they closed. So sad they closed. Historical and fabulous old fashioned western fun. Please consider restoring and reopening for future generations t...o enjoy. In a tech driven world, this type of entertainment is a great escape back in time. See More

I can remember my parents taking my brother and 3 foster kids here back in the late 60s early 70s before they closed. Dam shame they closed it down. All of us kids got a tin drinking cup as a souvenir.... Be awesome if they would reopen it. Then I could take my great-grandkids. See More

We were married at the Church of the Ponderosa 30 years ago this coming June. Is there any way we can revisit?
