Citizens Committee campaign volunteers hard at work getting out the vote! Turn in your Yes! ballot today at the Arlington Library or get it in the mail. Ask your Arlington area friends and family to vote Yes! today.

Remember to return your ballot by next Tuesday, Feb. 13! Arlington Public Schools has a bond proposal on the ballot that includes safety and security improvemen...ts at all schools and the construction of a new Post Middle School. There will be no local tax rate increase if the bond passes since this will replace an expiring bond.

Ballots can be returned without a stamp by placing them in the drop box at the Arlington Library. Link to map in comments below.

VOTING YES ON THE BOND WILL NOT RAISE YOUR TAXES! The Herald headlines today that "Property taxes to increase" doesn't tell the whole story. The legislature c...hose to start collecting new school taxes before rolling back the local levies. As seen on the graph, it causes the tax rate for schools payable this year to increase from $6.94 per thousand to $7.48 per thousand, with none of the extra collected by the state going to our district this year. Next year, when state funding kicks in, the local levy drops to $1.50 per thousand so that the total rate, even with passage of the bond measure on Feb.13, drops to $6.59 per thousand from the current $6.94. In 2021 it drops even further to $6.07 per thousand. Voting "yes" will not raise your taxes!
