Updating my review from last year even though the rating is the same. We'd been to Prairie Whale twice, and now we've been going to brunch once or twice a month for over a year. We went there right af...ter getting engaged and to celebrate many other special occasions. Now it's mostly the only place we eat out. We're never disappointed in our food or service. They offer new options every time so it's exciting even when you've been there twenty times. We love so many of the staff members as well--they're super sweet. If you want my advice, get the scone to start. It's consistently perfect. ^_^ See More

I literally just left and felt compelled to rate this place. I’ve been once before and had fried corn that I ordered extra to take home which is what led me back. We had the calamari & chips, fried ch...icken dinner, some amazing falafel, kale, chickpea and sweet potatoes dish. I don’t usually order desert but we both cleaned our plates and they were amazing.

For desert we got the chocolate cake/ginger/raspberry compote and vanilla ice cream/espresso dish....we cleaned those plates too. They have a unique drink list and everything tastes fresh and authentic. It’s 1.5 hours away from home but we will be back. SO GOOD!

Cool vibe. Small but meticulously curated wine list with many high quality off the beaten path wines sure to satisfy all, from the snooty oenophile to the casual quaffer. The menu is an eclectic blend... of farm-to-table, slow food and en flique delightful offerings. The decor is as hip and cozy complimenting the entire dining experience. Owner, Mark Firth, seals the deal with his welcoming smile and his ability to always make his guests feel appreciated and special. Go now and enjoy, you won’t have any FOMO. See More

We really enjoyed the Prairie Whale. Started with cold cucumber soup and a main course of a pork chop served with roasted potatoes, peaches, kale, blueberries, and fresh sour cream. Fun atmosphere l...ast night with a live band playing an eclectic jug band-style jazz. Highly recommend it! See More

Clean and neat. A variety of restaurants to choose and we found the best ice cream SoCo, they announce they have the best ice cream in MA and they really are.

Worst meal I've had in a long time. Server was rude and unattentive. Food was mediocre at best. Very overpriced. Don't recommend and certainly won't ever be back.

Always a joy to eat at this eclectic funky, local farm supportive eatery located in a revamped house on the main drag with dedicated parking. Supports local distilleries and craft brews. Has their o...wn onsite garden in season. Local eggs, burgers, and more. A yang kinda menu, but you'll still find creative seasonal salads, a quinoa dish and a super attentive staff. Check their site for days & hours open. See More

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmazin grace...the fried chicken was DOPE! I haven't had that good of Chicharones since I left the SF Bay Area! The Smokey hot sauce was so good my man finished eating with a fork, We hardcore! The cornbread was fresh, warm and was slathered in some kind of wizardry of whipped butter tangy, sweet and smoothly salted. The room temp cask beer was perfect and my three hot dog fingers of Mary something something whiskey neat was on point. I am a huge fan of butternut squash soup and yours did not disappoint, the roasted pumpkin seeds and cilantro that topped it was satisfying and light. The old farm house turned rusticity weirdo interior was fun to look at from whale sculptures to old timey colonial cartoons with precious feet. Our waitress was killer, there enough when we needed her but not a pain in the ass under our feet and on our laps every two minutes. She was fucking smart. We will be back and look forward to playing some ping pong.

Fried chicken like mother used to make (steam rushing out when the fork breaks the skin). Scones like they should be made (airy, melting in the mouth)

Meat isn’t inherently bad for the environment. Thanks GQ and Mark Bittman for discussing an important topic. And shout out to our local favorite Prairie Whale and the awesome The Local Butcher Shop!

We had a ton of fun at Boondock's screening of Better Off Dead at Catamount! So looking forward to the next event they come up with.

Berkshires brunch @ Prairie Whale. Farm-to-table freshness. To-die-for scones. Must go back. Oh hey, don't forget to subscribe to get these posts in yo' email.

I've always wanted to visit the Berkshires, and I was lucky enough to have an expert guide for my first trip.
