“'When you’re that vulnerable, that’s the worst time to have to worry about people reacting to you,' one participant said. Often, the burden falls on patients themselves to educate their health care providers."

We can connect you with LGBTQ-competent providers to ensure you get the care you need. ☎️ Give us a call: 716-852-7743

One patient described the experience as making them feel like “the freak show.” But some hospitals are forging a path toward inclusive care.

I'm super I was born gay, wouldn't want my life any other. I just think it's a great place all around. Especially for interacting and the huge amount of support for the LGBT community.

I am so grateful to find the Pride Center and Evergreen Health in Buffalo. I will be moving there this year from Seattle. As I began my research for the move, I wondered if I would find the same sense... of community and broad ranging services in Buffalo as we have here in Seattle. The answer is a resounding YES! And more. I am so excited about living in Buffalo after leaving New York as a child. See More

Dear Pride Center,

I always knew you guys put on a fantastic pride week but for me this year, experiencing more and being invovled was even better. As an #ally I personally live seeing this positive ...movement and festive atmosphere for my bros snd sis of the #LGBTQ community and anyone else who judt needs a boots to be themselves. Volunteering for the 5k was a blast, the parade was amazing, and my first experience at pride fest was rememberable. Everyone just keep doing what you are doing, you are all amazing people. Thank you for showing all of us that its more than perfect and acceptable to love who we are. Me a straight, very disabled young man, and dork lol. Seriously, my hats off to all of you. See More

Pride parade = Awsome
It is a beautiful thing to see how far gay pride has come since all this began . From anti Gay protesters in the beginning to a city that embraces our Gay & Lesbian brothers and... sisters and a parade packed with supporters . Kudos to those who made all this possible ! Special praises to The pride Center of WNY, and the Buffalo Gay Men's Chorus !! Next year the parade will be twice as large! This is what makes a city GREAT!!! See More

Momentum was great we enjoyed the show. Great music and awesome show with Mimi Imfurst, Pandora Box & Violet Chachki. The only thing we're disappointed about is that we couldn't take any pictures with... the queens like previous years :-( See More

Hey everyone, I'm unaffiliated with your pride, but I wanted to give you all I heads up about some belligerent asshole who has claimed on his YouTube channel to be coming to protest your celebrations.... His name is Joseph Martelli, he's planning on coming by to preach from the Bible about "the sins of homosexuality". The reason why he's so angry about gays is because HE actually had a few homosexual experiences which led to the end of his marriage and now he's in denial and guilt. Can you all show him some real pride love? See More

Love this place. It's a safe, friendly place to hang out. Get current with today's news about GLBT news. Plus some of Buffalo's hottest men. Xavier and Jimmi. Check out the new computers too

Is anyone on the Pride Committee at all concerned about the fact that Julia Greenwood has plead guilty to grand larceny and will be sentenced May 23rd? What if she loses her liquor license? The Back L...ot Bash events scheduled at Roxy's would either have to be cancelled or moved. Even if she doesn't get her liquor license taken, what does it say when the Pride Center indirectly puts money in the pocket of someone who was so willing to steal from members of the LGBT community? The events scheduled at Roxys could have just as easily been scheduled at the Hamlin House or elsewhere. It's genuinely disappointing that she is allowed to profit off of pride events. Hopefully your committee will reconsider in the future See More

If you are having an ALL AGE non alcoholic dance party it would nice if the music was age appropriate... I was EXTREMELY mad that all the music had words like cunt, cock and other words... my 5 and 8 ...year old doesn't need to hear music like that... if you want an age appropriate dance party keep the music that way See More
