I am excited to say that I am now the full time coach for L4 Swimming's Tuesday/Thursday mid+day (1230-130 pm) practice at Chinquapin Rec Center. Come in out for a late lunch workout!

Tough like woodpecker lips. 22 hearty souls are swimming in 70 degree water and 55 degree air to celebrate our last Friday outdoor practice of the season. One more L4 practice on Sunday then we'll see you all back at Providence Red Center on Monday at 0530.

A lot of swimmers kick too wide that slows down their tempo and increases frontal drag. We like to use the FINIS Swimming ankle strap above the knees to force a more narrow kick.

Kick Down Breaststroke is a swim drill that allows you to work on several techniques. Whether it's the coupling motion of the head snapping down, a narrow kick or a tight streamline out front a coach can emphasize any of them to their swimmers in this drill. #swimisodes

Not about the interpretation of the rule. The rule is horrible.

Right now, swimming has the worst rule in all of sports. If FINA is truly trying to grow the sport among fans and sponsors, getting rid of it wouldn't be a bad place to start.
