Friends, our Mountain View allies, who successfully passed rent control in November, are now under threat of having that voter-backed decision overturned because of a lawsuit filed today by the California Apartment Association. The Mountain View City Council has agreed to a temporary restraining order and will not be defending the measure, which means that tens of thousands of renters are now at risk of receiving large rent increases again.
