I was born in 1953, before the Civil Rights Act was law, before Brown v Board was decided, a decade before the Voting Rights Act.

The times again are upon Congress, and we must act. The camera of history is rolling. Let it not reflect as unfavorably on us now as it did on '53.

Primaries came and went with over 100,000 Democrats casting a ballot at the polls (plus more in absentees). The future is bright in Queens.
