It is that time of the year again when so many worthwhile autism organizations make their plea for financial su...pport. The Association for Science in Autism Treatment is a tiny organization striving to have a big voice in the conversation about autism treatment. A reliable voice against a deafening backdrop of "Try this" and "Try that."

Nowhere is ASAT’s presence needed more than on the internet where a simple search for autism treatment will lead consumers to hundreds of sites peddling misinformation, snake oil, and empty promises.

This year we are raising $5,000 to ensure that our website can continue to showcase accurate, up-to-date and useful information about science-based treatment to the public in a comprehensive, clear, and consumer-friendly manner.

Proceeds raised will enable us to:
1) Place an abundance of new, high quality content throughout our website;
2) Continuously expand sections designed for a variety of particular groups, such as parents of newly diagnosed children, parents of older children and adults, the media, medical service providers, and teaching faculty
3) Secure our placement through google ad words so that science has a fighting chance in search results; and
4) Enhance navigation and ease of access on our site.

Please listen to Actress and Advisory Board Member, Jane Asher describe some of the resources ASAT offers...all without any charge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Zfj1g4kWow

Help us continue to inform and guide the autism community toward sound decisions, accountability, and effective treatment.

Any donation amount would be deeply appreciated! Please share!

Friends and family, I need your help! I know your hearing this a lot right now. It’s that time of the year when ...so many worthwhile organizations and charities make their plea for financial support.

As many of you know, I serve as a part-time Executive Director of Association for Science in Autism Treatment, a tiny organization striving to have a big voice in the conversation about autism treatment. We are a reliable voice against the deafening and confusing backdrop of "Try this" and "Try that” that separates children from effective help, wastes parents’ time, drains precious resources and energy, and most importantly, prevents children with autism from realizing their fullest potential.

Like many of you, I believe that science matters. Why? Science provides clear, concise and factual knowledge against a backdrop of over 500 treatments for autism. Imagine if parents of children with cancer had to sift through 500 treatments. That would be heartbreaking. It is indeed heartbreaking that parents have to work so hard just to learn how to best help their child with autism.

Help us make a difference in improving the lives of people with autism and assisting and equipping their parents and caregivers to make the best possible choices guided by the best available resource available. Science. Science Matters.
Any size donation would be deeply appreciated. Please SHARE this post with those that may be impacted by autism.

And what the heck? ……on December 20th I will send a three pack of my delicious crumb cakes to the largest donor over $100.

But every little bit helps. Thank you for your kind support! Please share with your FB friend who may be part of the autism community.
