The sound of the trumpet is a traditional accompaniment to almost every major event in #Serbian life . A band will play at every birth, baptism, wedding, funeral, harvest, and state and church festival.
Trumpet music preserves and reflects the innate spirit of the country’s traditions. Every year, crowds from around the world flock to the small Serbian town of Guca, for its famous, annual trumpet festival.
The lively, upbeat music makes a great 5-day event each summer and gives less well-known bands a chance to practice, get noticed and make it big.
But behind the fun and carefree festive atmosphere, few people see the gruelling demands placed on the musicians who are dedicated to and suffer for their art https://rtd.rt.com/films/daniela-princess-of-guca/

‘I no longer love blue skies; I prefer grey skies. Drones do not fly when the skies are grey and for a short period of time the mental tension and fear eases. But when the sky brightens the drones return and so does the fear.’ Join us live
