We commend all of the 32nd Congressional District students who expressed themselves with unique works of art. 92 pieces were collected from 13 different high schools, making this year’s Art Contest another huge success. Congratulations to 1st Place winner, Rafael Mondragon of Sierra Vista High School, whose piece, “Awaiting a Home,” will be displayed in the tunnel to the U.S. Capitol Building! This powerful collection of athletes’ stories reminds us that mental health affects all of us, regardless of physical strength, age, ethnicity, or any other defining characteristic. I applaud The Players’ Tribune for helping to reduce stigma and promote mental wellness. May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, throughout which we will be sharing educational resources and lifting up more stories of hope and resilience. If you or someone you know needs help, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). https://www.theplayerstribune.com/…/mental-health-awareness… #mhm2018 #EndStigma
