Today I spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives to address the heroin and synthetic drug epidemic plaguing our country and to honor the lives of two Central New Yorkers, Morgan Brittany Axe and Victor Orlando Woolson. I’m proud to fight in memory of these two young people in Congress, and on behalf of so many families in our community who have been affected by heroin and synthetic drugs. I introduced the Stop the Importation and Trafficking Synthetic Analogues (SITSA) Act to help combat this scourge, and urged my colleagues today to join me in supporting this legislation.
