Many of our local farmers continued to work hard throughout the outbreak of coronavirus to keep our shelves stocked, but some farmers, including our local vinicutluralists, had their businesses shuttered due to coronavirus. Last week, I met with local farmers, oyster growers, viniculturalists and others to discuss federal assistance during the outbreak of coronavirus, additional support needed from all levels of government and how we can help local farmers quickly and safely get back to business.

There's a real deal on the table right now for the next coronavirus relief bill. The House, Senate and White House are closer than ever! But instead, Speaker Pelosi has calculated that it would be better politically to just walk away, sending Members home for over a month at the end of this week instead passing a dead on arrival "coronavirus relief bill" with poison pills such as:
- Cashless Bail
- Mass Prison Release
- Nationwide Ballot Harvesting
- Ban on Voter ID Nationally
- Stimulus Checks to People Illegally in the US
There are real people and real lives on the line and playing political games that knowingly hurt Americans by just walking away from the table this week is shameful. Anyone who stakes their political capital on a COVID-19 death count being as high as possible and an economy suffering as much as possible is someone who should NEVER have ANY political power.
