Earlier today, I called on President Trump to condemn white nationalists and the KKK. An hour later, he did. While I'm sure I'm not the one who convinced the president to act, I am glad he did.

Alright backlash a lawmakers on both sides of the aisle about the president's remarks in the charlottesville violence and this morning remarks from the ceo of merck as well he quick the president's manufacturing Council am effect there is it got the President to respond in a state but I wanna bring in the Democratic congressman Tom swazi right now of your congressman thanks so much for being with us a cat can fraser ceo of more a quick the President manufacturing Council essentially saying he feels it's necessary to take a public stand against bigotry and and what not the President responded to that by going after Dan fraser he said now they can frazier of farm has resigned from the President manufacturing Council he will have more time to lower rip off drug prices your reaction to this back and forth this morning sir I think the President has dropped the ball here is made this whole issue too much about him instead of about the hate that we see going on in America and the President by not speaking out directly against the whites of promises by attacking the ceo of of Mark is making too much about the President and not about the issue which is that there's this too much hate and we have to all stand up against this hate our country what do you wanna hear the President say to They see it is learn that he will address the violence in charlottesville again today we don't know exactly what he will say what do you thinking needs to say the President needs to be very bold and just come straight out and say United States of America is based upon the fundamental principle that all men and women are created equal and whites are promises and Nazis and skinheads and these other demented people are not acting American they're on American in fact and they have a right to free speech but we're gonna call them out for what they are which is American and there's no place for them in our society have you thought about what maybe is motivation Not having said this over the last few days you know the President during his election campaign you know really went out of his way to call out Progressive and call out black lives matter other groups and saying you know these protestors and the politically correct people you know they got hate in their bed two should be like it's both sides he's just completely wrong here this is he's just completely miss the boat because here we have people marching with tortures uh calling out The most vile things you could possibly imagine the President gonna be blunt is gonna be clear gonna be direct and he's gonna say there's no place for whites of promises in our country you know what area where the President has been blunt and clear is on North Korea a this is an area you've been watching very closely of the Committee your presence is we're locked and loaded and in reaction to North Korea right now blood and clear they're in this morning his Secretary state Secretary defense for an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal where they to work clear but was very different type of clarity right now they talked a lot about the peaceful pressure Campaign the administrations putting on North Korea you're actually their statements I read that up and piece the Wall Street Journal very measure that that was very intelligent that they could Secretary Madison is really a great American were fortunate to have him serving our nation he's devoted his life to our country uh but the President again he's making you think too much about himself and set about the issue what's not forget the bad guy is here the bad guy here is the Supreme leader of North Korea can jump on is a dangerous character on the world stage and we need to be tough we need to be firm be going on for a long time it's going on for decades quite frankly it decades and so I can John has been there and we need To send a very clear message that we're not gonna support uh the further nuclear is Asian of North Korea uh but at the same time wrapping up this this this rhetoric is very dangerous as as Leon said the other day God forbid somebody makes a mistake here this is what we're talking about people's lives people are let me say now all over the world because they're afraid of what could happen u save people are freaking out all around the world but there has been a new developed this morning with his that China has instituted new sanctions on North Korea banning I believe importance of seafood and also some iron products right now is it possible that the president's statements and pressure or Looking to get China to actually do something well it's been since day one this administration has said that their main goal is to get China to help us with North Korea that they did to the positive goal human yeah that's good positive that's a very positive thing and I think that the rest of the international community has stepped up we have both China and Russia vote for essentials before the President of tagging talk vote for sanctions so we this has been a concerted effort for sometime uh the administration is had at the Congress had to trying get China and Russia to do more of the heavy lifting here we need your pan in South Korea to do their There as well and hopefully as time goes on will succeed in this effort to try and the new clear eyes on North Korea but rather the rhetoric is very dangerous because while we're trying to advances agenda people are so worried in that part of the world as well as in this part of the world that somebody could make a mistake the North Koreans can make a mistake we can make a mistake and I can make a mistake you have to be careful when dealing with right up that someone doesn't make a mistake this is a very positive development that China is taking the steps it's always The agenda to have these steps be taken but we need more going forward as well come sometimes was the of New York thanks so much for being with us or thank you jump right
