Today, my office announced we've gotten more than $10 million returned to veterans in my district in compensation, pension or retroactive payments since January 2017. I am pleased that we have been able to intercede on behalf of so many constituent veterans to ensure they receive the services and compensation they have earned.

IVYMI: last week the Bureau of Labor and Statistics announced over 638,000 jobs were added to the U.S. economy in October! Unemployment rate fell to 6.9%. While the country is still working through the pandemic, these numbers are encouraging.

This report beats expectations of a 7.6% unemployment rate. De-regulations and pro-growth policies continue to fuel the Great American Comeback that we have experienced under President Donald Trump.

Religious Freedom is one of the precious freedoms Americans enjoy. On this day in 1786, the Virginia General Assembly adopted Thomas Jefferson’s “Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom.” This statute became the basis for the free exercise and establishment clauses in our First Amendment. We honor this historic day by observing Every January 16th, we recognize National Religious Freedom Day and celebrate the right of all Americans to exercise their faiths freely.
