21 Okay, uh everybody out there, I appreciate you guys hopping on here to join me for this special announcement. I'm Richard jetta and 19 months ago. I chose to run for Congress. It chose to run for Congress because I want to help the people in southern West Virginia In the last 19 months while running for office in southern West Virginia, we received countless phone calls emails and messages from people all across the United States of America. That educated me that the problems that we have in southern West Virginia of the same problems that we have in the South side of Chicago and flint Michigan and the bronx New York the Rio Grand Valley and believe it or not even places like silicon Valley, we have not had people that have really fought for the working class. it Lessons in this country the President of the United States, Republicans and Democrats have focus more on in fighting political wars than they have focused on being there for the working class citizens It's important that we start sending people to office that we're going to abolish corruption. That I wanna fix the healthcare system. That's gonna fight the opioid epidemic and is going to create opportunities for those people who live in poverty to elevate themselves out of poverty, jobs. We desperately need jobs, good paying jobs so how do we do this and that's mission number one and what I wanna outline here is the fact that we have far too many pigs eating at the truck where I come from service Equals sacrifice right now we have thousands upon thousands of troops army Navy, air force and Marines. All across this globe fighting for this nation The average salary for many of those soldiers sailors airman and Marine qualifies them for food stamps. Now that, ladies and gentlemen, is what selfless service is all about. But we have elected officials let's say that they're gonna run for office to serve the people but in reality they legislate themselves into wealth. They go into office and after 12 terms they're worth millions upon millions of dollars and that has to stop now. What I believe in would be everyone who runs for office for federal office has to show has to prove That they they mean what they say when they talk about sacrifice and that is you are giving a net worth of one million dollars. Anything above that you donate to charity and I don't mean your children to actual charity. You are allowed once you retire from federal service air retirement of a hundred and 30000 dollars a year with the cap that you're allowed to still make money up to 200 and 50000 dollars after that, that gets donated to charity. You will also So be required to fall into the very same health care system as the average citizens out there. If you served in the military it's for you, if not the same healthcare no more cadillac deals for those in legislation to be able to get phenomenal healthcare while the rest of us struggle. That, ladies and gentlemen, is what needs to happen and I can guarantee you. We will finally see a fix in our healthcare system when the very people voting on those bills Are directly affected and their families so once again it's time for people to put up if you say you, wanna serve you need to serve you need to live just like every other citizen out there when you cast votes about the banking industry about the housing industry, about the public schools, about health care. You need to be directly involved so, ladies and gentlemen, that's pillar one there's, a lot more that's gonna come out later on, but I wanted to let everybody know what my first pillar is all about.
