This appears to be the event poster for our first city in China reporting in for their 2016 event: "Shenzhen, 50 Riders... No shouts, no commerce.
Not only mourned, but also prayed. We prayed more and more people will like cycling. We prayed a better cycle life in Shenzhen."

What is the Ride of Silence all about?

The Ride of Silence honor the many cyclists who have been killed or injured while cycling. Here Chris Phelan explains the development and goals of the ride.

Donnachadh McCarthy to Stop Killing Cyclists
June 9, 2015

Amazing pic of last night's emotional Die-In organised by Stop Killing Cyclists calling for a safer Camberwell for cyclists and pedestrians and Vigil in memory ...of 32 year old physiotherapist cyclist Esther Hartsilver RIP.

Southwark Council must reverse their refusal to include protected left hand turns in their multi-million refurbishment project planned for Camberwell Green junction and re-instate the proposed Love Walk bypass to enable cyclists get from Peckham Road to Denmark Hill / Kings College Hospital in a safer way.

The key people responsible for these proposals are:

1/ Southwark's Head of Transport Simon Bevan ( he opposes cycle lanes because he wants cyclists to slow the traffic down!)

2/ Des Waters

3/ Cllr Peter John Leader of Southwark Council - repeatedly over last 5 years says that Stop Killing Cyclists and previous campaigns have persuaded him that their policy of opposing segregated cycle lanes was wrong - but nothing substantial ever changes as a result - Southwark just refused segregated cycle lanes for Aylesbury mega-development masterplan.

Please send polite messages asking for the Love Walk bypass to be re-instated and for the Camberwell Green junction refurbishment to be to full Go Dutch standards with safe physically protected cycling by--passes at each corner to end the HGV left hand turn carnage.
