As Buddhists, we need to understand ultimate wisdom. Some people think the ultimate Buddhist activity is to make a three-step-one-bow pilgrimage to Mount Gang R...inpoche. Others think that the supreme act of Buddhism is to hold a prayer wheel, while still others believe that the supreme act of Buddhism is to burn high incense and so they spend 0.3 million Chinese yuan buying a stick of high incense at 2 or 3 in the morning. We are not against any of these activities, as there are many different ways that benefit the many different sentient beings.
However, from the wisdom perspective, the most important and most direct Buddhist activity is to understand the emptiness of the self. The person who does this will grasp the essence of Buddhism.

It is my belief that exams are an important aspect to the study of Buddhism. These periodic tests bring a kind of pressure that leads to complete absorption and... are an aid to natural concentration, which is a very good thing. If one were to study without this added pressure, one's long-term focus would be lacking and laziness would lead one only to study when one felt like it. Because of the stress to do well on exams, we make better use of all of our energy and intellect.
